Assassin Snails, also known as Clea Helena, is a species of freshwater snail with an operculum, an aquatic gastropod in the family Buccinidae, the true whelks, most of which are marine.
Assassin snails are a carnivorous species, so their diet doesn’t include any vegetation, algae or plants.
They will eat other snails. Trumpet, Ramshorn snails are their favorite snacks. Sometime they will also hunt soft snail eggs, bloodworm, and shrimp fry. Assassins usually do not eat their own kind though.
