Duckweed - Lemna Minor, 400 pieces, home grown and organic. It is an excellent aquarium filter and has high protein content for some of your larger aquarium fish. Angelfish will eat this! 200 pieces of duckweed spread throughout your tanks will provide a natural floating plant look, will naturally filter the water and it will grow and spread quickly.

We ship our duckweed in a small bag and paper towel which will keep your plants moist for their journey to your home. When you receive the duckweed ensure you place it into an aquarium very quickly. In cold weather we will include a warming kit to keep it at a neutral temperature. Please ensure you check your mailbox or door often as if it freezes it will die.

Lemna is a genus of free-floating aquatic plants referred to by the common name "duckweed." They are morphologically divergent members of the arum family. These rapidly growing plants have found uses as a model system for studies in community ecology, basic plant biology, ecotoxicology, and production of biopharmaceuticals, and as a source of animal feeds for agriculture and aquaculture. Currently, 14 species of Lemna are recognised.
